Photoshop and raster to vector conversion

Hello all.
I am creating a calendar using AMS software Photo Calendar Creator. Love the software and easy to use however... It appears the templates where the text (calendar days etc) is in a Raster format and I need it to be Vector so the letters and numbers are clear when I send to my printer.
this can be changed in Photoshop by using the marqueeing & channel mixing options. I just don't know how. Can anyone tell me if this is a difficult thing to do and how to/where to find resources on how to do this?
Note the calendar I put together is for a non profit and the printer runs approx. 1500 of these for sale. It needs to be the best quality possible. In the past the printer has made the adjustments for us but now want to charge $400 to make the changes which defeats the non profit purpose. I am quick to learn techniques with out much instruction but need to know where to go to find the info.
Can anyone help with the steps? Have you done this before?
comments most appreciated.

-Pamela

SORRY. I should also add that the AMS software Calendar Creator does not have an option to convert to Vector.

thanks again
