Photography Question

Street Photography

Wouldn't it be neat to have a street photography category? I know these shots fit somewhere else but it is a lot of fun to capture candids of people doing their everyday thing, especially in unique environments.

Also has anyone seen the documentary "Finding Vivian Maier"? Very good film on photographer whose boxes of negatives were found in an auction - captured neat perspectives of life in New York. I highly recommend watching.

That would be interesting. Of course, the "people" category is where some place these. I suppose that if there weren't people in the photo it could be architecture, or travel and place.... well, it could go on and on.

I was given a Vivian Maier book of photographs along with the storyline. Awesome and interesting!
Along the same line, check out a photographer named Mike Disfarmer. His work was discovered after he died. He was a recluse, portrait photographer in the 40's, in a rural community. He had two backdrops and he used natural Northern light in his studio and he literally captured the heart and soul of his subjects. It is hauntingly beautiful! It makes a great coffee-table book. LOVE IT!
