entering contest Hi! I have a problem about entering the contest.I don't know what happened but I can't enter the free contest anymore. I simply don't see the enter contest link, it's not there any more. I need some help! Thank you!

You are not alone. BP changed its policies starting July 1, 2008. They did not inform anyone of the changes until the changes actually occurred. Here is the note link explaining it all. http://www.betterphoto.com/contest/messageFromJim.php Also, below you will find the original posting that announced it. http://www.betterphoto.com/forms/QnAdetail.php?threadID=32565 Also, if you go to the "Get a Website" section you will notice that price changes for the Basic Gallery have occurred too. They occurred the same day but several hours later.

You are welcome. I had the same experience...log in and no way to enter the contest. I however tried to when the "Jim thread" was up at the top of the "All New Questions" section. It certainly helped me figure out the issue much easier. Wish I could have given you better news. I really enjoyed looking at your gallery. Keep on getting those shots.

This is it. Thank you for appreciating my photos. My pictures are'n so good as yours but in time and with a better camera I will get to that level. I have a small camera sony dsc w35 but after I get a better job I will buy a better one. I just graduated at the university,just got a job, you know... Bye Bye! Hope we'll share photographic experience, I really like your aproach!

Too bad, I disappeared for about 3 months and I came now to see that the free contest is only for premium members, weird. I can pay for any subscribed gallery but the problem is that I avoided this site because I won here and I didn't get my prize, I sent them 2 or 3 times and they replied my once that I had won my prize [which is a 4-weeks course] but that never happened, is that meaning that I have to pay for my prize? too bad I didn't uploaded many photos before that I may win once and get one of those deluxe galleries to enter again and again . Good luck for all!

I don't know really, just was happy to try myself to join in a contest, and to my surprise I won, it is really a big honor for me to win for first time in my life in photography, but it is really weird that I didn't get my prize, not sure if I should try again as it is about 4 months ago since I won, if they gave that prize as money it will be better than telling me to win a course then nothing there, and now I was going to do more photos for contest I found it is only for paying members, really it is making me to go to another sites for better win and prizes free or paid.

Hi Tareq, I'm surprised to hear you won a 4-week course - in all my years here at BP I've never seen that offered as a prize in the free contest... are you sure?

Diane, Tareq had a 2nd place in the cash contest, and the prize is the BP course. Apparently, he's never fully hooked up with BP on getting the credit for a future class.

Tareq was the 2nd place Cash Contest Winner in February. The prizes in the Cash Contest were Grand Prize - $1000; 1st - $500; 2nd - a free 4-week course. Did you sign up for a course and not get to take it, Tareq? I don't understand what you mean when you say you didn't get your prize.

Hi all, yes I won 2nd place in February Cash Contest. I sent many messages to the help and I got one message back that I am successfully signed to the course I chose [BP 4-weeks], but when I enter that course I have to pay, and no emails from the instructor of that course, nothing, so it seems I am not signed in that course at all, so I don't know what to do.

It does seem that there is some confusion here, Tareq. Have you tried contacting Kerry Drager as Susan Fox suggested? I think it could be helpful to have an individual helping you. I have sent a link to this thread on to Support at BP. Hopefully they will contact you in a few days to see if the confusion can be cleared up so that you can take the class of your choice. Hey Nikki, I hope I can get the help as soon as possible. I didn't contact Kerry Drager as when I open the link of contacting her I can't type in boxes, seems white without any letter shown of typing, but I will keep trying later.

Seems the new contact boxes don't work very well. Try the one on Terry's website instead. That one appears to be working ok
