I get shadows on my portrait pictures. I use a flash and a light off to the side. I see no shadow until I get the picture developed. How do I get rid of the shadow?

Where is this shadow you are talking about? If it's behind the subject then move them farther from the background and/or place the light higher. If the shadow is on their faces, bring the light closer to the camera. Also, bouncing the light will help eliminate or soften shadows.
