Disk in Drive D

I seem to have been able to get the software downloaded on my computer but when I try to view the pictures it will add a few then the screen says unable to write to disk in drive D data or files may be lost press any key to continue. I am afraid to do anything because I am afraid of loosing my pictures. I would appreciate your help with the matter. Also I would like to be able to download my pictures to a floppy disk do that I can take the disk to church and show them on our computer there. Please help me if you can.

That means some areas of your software has been corrupted either by manipulation by external influenzes or by bad installation... things like that. You may need to reinstall or install, install from another site, or even try manufacturers help.

ACDSee is a free software which you can use to view pictures and then later on copy to a floppy to show it in your church on a laptop. it;s easy to use.

May be there is some error like bad tracks in Drive D, better rule out that possibility by runnisng scan disk's thorough check..

I want my question here so I put as a reply!

Olympus C-1 and not recognising properly
This camera has been able to download pics before but now on the labtop it dont work. On the main pc it dont work even after installing a new driver from olympus support email. Its a usb connection. Is the only option to buy an adapter for the camera's memory chip like a floppy or a pc card?

My solution was to use explorer to view the contents of the "L" drive which I have set as a mapped network drive (networked to the second pc's hard drive) and under "L" the pictures where hidden. The "L" drive was called Nkbk drive but in fact this letter was also used for the olympus camera. I now have no "mapped network drives" and the "L" drive is named "olympus C-1". So you see it was hidden, but working all the time!
