Olympus Infinity Zoom 230 Camera

I have an Olympus Infinity Zoom 230 camera. There is a flash mode button and I know how to use the various options against this.

My camera has also an LCD panel (no green lights) and when the subject button is pressed it gives five options, viz BLANK>A Dot>A Figure>'C'>Timer Indication and back. Let me know when to use these modes.

As the Olympus people were stupid and unable to help me, I am asking you for help. If you could tell me more about where I can receive more help also would be helpful. Thank you

Do you have or can you borrow a digital camera? If so, take a picture of the LCD panel and I will help. I assume the manual was of no help; if you do not have it, you may be able to find one used by calling a few camera stores.

To Jim,
Thanks for your response. I have a digital camera and right now I do not have a connecting cable and since it is much simpler to give the information graphically to you , I would prefer to do so.

I do not have a manual and I could not get one locally.

In addition to the Flash and Subject buttons the camera has also a green button marked [ 0.4m/1.3ft ], evidently for subjects of that particular distance away.
