Blue Sky Too Pixelized in JPEG format

When I save my files which show any portion of blue sky (especially the deep dark cobalt blues from Fuji Provia F100) in JPEG format, the color gradients in the sky always looks pixelated. Is there a way to correct for this in Photoshop?

Your second image especially looks gorgeous but by your first example, I can see what you are talking about. Two things you can try:

1) Slightly blur the sky before saving. This will help the compression algorithms do a better job.
2) Use a higher quality / lower compression as you save the JPEG.

In Photoshop 6, you can select the sky and save it at a higher quality / lower compression than the other areas.
