Hi Andrzej,
Thanks for your comments! The flower is called 'Bird of Paradise'. This is located in the shade at the side of my house. I underexposed the shot by 1 stop so that the background came out darker. But the flower was a little dark, too, so I used curves in Photoshop to hold the dark part in place while lightening up the flower.
