Here's the original RAW capture.
I generally feel like a B/W conversion is a drawn out game of "what if" for me... Lots of exploration, trial and error, etc. But I came up with this result relatively quickly (by my standards!) and really like it a lot... which makes me doubt it, ironically!

Stephen Shoff 		  Have you read or taken Rob Sheppard's blogs/class on b&w conversions on BP? If not, you might want to review that and evaluate this conversion in that context. In his mind its all about contrast in tone and texture.

I think you've done a great job on both counts. In particular, the you've really managed to bring the tree root out and separated it from the wall behind.
