This is my first attempt at HDR using Nik's HDR Efex Pro 2. I did some minor tweaking to tones and saturation afterward, using Nik Veveza 2 and adjustment layers in Photoshop. I wanted to give it a little pop, while still keeping a somewhat natural look. Would like some opinions on how I did.

I would say you did very well, Phillip, especially for your first attempt. It is often difficult to get a natural looking HDR image due to the tendency for programs to give over-saturated results (and the tendency for us to ramp up the color). This looks very natural to me. The only clue is the blue in the sky, which I find to be the hardest part of an HDR image; the color looks just a little off to me. Sometimes the best solution is to layer the HDR image with the original image with the best sky and either blend it in or replace the sky. I get the best results when I add a negative Clarity and Vibrance (using Lightroom) to each image before I take them to HDR Efex Pro. Nicely done.

You are welcome, Philip. I drag myself out of the woods and poke my head in every so often. I think the yellows are fine, but the blue (or maybe just cyan) might be a little saturated. It is very close, and one of the most natural looking I have seen from a first attempt. Most people probably would not have picked up on it. Keep up the good work.
