Art this is a great look. I have seen photos that look very similar hanging on the walls of sporting goods stores. You caught the essence of what these old time photos look like. Would never guess this was a zoo shot. Very nicely done.

Yes well done. I've noticed in a number of posts lately that since NIK made its software so readily available, everyone is jumping on the double processing bandwagon, once in HDR and then again in something else, usually SilverEfex. What did processing this through HDR first accomplish for you?

`Thanks for the nice comment Michael. Much appreciated. Stephen. I have taken many webinairs at NIK for HDR Pro & Silver Efex and have learned that for images that have a lot of texture and depth the HDR software is the best and easiest tool to bring out both with dramatic results.

Yup, very well done! I agree, a pass through the HDR helps to enhance the texture and detail of the image.

Same here-looks like he is smiling or baring his teeth at you! I like the vintage look here-makes it look like an old photo. Yes, I do like it.

Ok baring, then. I was thinking, if you really wanted to fool people into thinking this was an old picture taken in the wild, you could do this if you removed the tag from his ear. It is great as is, though. Lots of character there in that mug:)

Thanks for the suggestion Elaine. I prefer to keep the tag, it does not bother me.
