Little Toad in the Grass
A few weeks ago on my morning walk in Valley Forge, I noticed big black blobs in the pools in the meadow at Pauling's Farm. When I looked closely the black blobs were hundreds and hundreds of little tiny tadpoles. Today when I went back the black blobs were gone, but in the grass surrounding the pools were hundreds and hundreds of little tiny toads not even half the size of my little pinky finger nail. Here's one little guy making the long journey back into the woods.
