For PG 101 "texture (found)" theme
This ancient evergreen is often called a Monkey Puzzle tree (because someone though a monkey would not figure how to get to its fruit). They can live almost 1,000 years and have very hard and sharp triangular "leaves" and spikes on the female tree's seed cones as well. They are native to high elevations in South American - this one was in a botanical garden in Queenstown, New Zealand.
