Columbrum ex Vitro


	Columbrum ex Vitro I was exploring the "close up" capabilities of my 100-400ii lens; for such a big zoom, you can get surprisingly close to the subject, even at the 400mm focal length, yielding a macro effect. This is a small blown-glass snake; for scale, the outer edges of the eyes are 5/8" apart and in a straight line from tip to tip, the piece sits 9" long. The front of the lens was 27" from the head.
