	The House with the Red Barn On July 3, 1863, the battle known as Pickett's Charge occurred in front of this house in Gettysburg, PA. One can also see the town of Gettysburg behind the tree to the right. Pickett's Charge was the deciding battle during the 3 day Civil War engagement between North and South, in which the South faced extremely heavy losses and cause a shift in direction for the war.
