I think I may have used a polarizer on that morning, however, I'd say more often than not, I left the polarizer off, as we had very diffused low light and I find that I do not usually like the blue tint I often get on white snowy mountains, although not here as these mts in background are not white. The ice really was blue. Thanks all for the comments.
