Eleonora's Chapel

Eleonora's Chapel
While we didn't make it into any dedicated art museums (such as the Uffizi Galleries) the other palace and house museums we visited were of course filled with their own art. Perhaps the highlight of the trip for me, art-wise, was turning a corner and finding this small room (about 12 x 16 feet) covered in Bronzino's gorgeous frescoes. This was a private devotional chapel built and decorated for Eleonora of Toledo, wife of Cosimo Medici, when they moved into and remodeled large parts of the Palazzo Vecchio to serve as their home.

Extremely well-executed interior image! Right up your alley though. A favorite.
