Favorite Software and Post Processing Tools

I've used Photoshop elements for many years, I really like it. But that may be just because of my familiarity with it. I've always thought it has the best "bang for the buck". l also have several of the Topaz plug ins, their B&W Effects is my main tool for converting to B&W.

If I'm processing away from my computer, I really like Snapfish ap, which I have on my iPhone and my iPad.

I'm so glad to see others using Photoshop Elements!
I used Photoshop 7 (many years ago) but when I switched computers several years ago my Photoshop was so old (lol) that it wouldn't load. I purchased Photoshop Elements because it was basically the same (and in some cases an upgrade). I've been very happy with Photoshop Elements. Sometimes I will use Lightroom (an older version) as well but Elements is my go-to editing program.
I get so stuck doing the same things all the time in editing that I learn new things randomly years later.

I, too, use Elements but also have the full version (thanks for the tip about the photographer's pricing, Jim!). Generally I start with Elements and use it unless there are things I want to do for which I need the full version. I started with PS when it came on floppies ;) and upgraded until it got to CS3. Now, thanks to Jim's tip, I've got the latest CC version. I also use Luminar, and Anthropics Smart Photo Editor is good for some things. On the iPhone I usually just use the regular software and send it to the computer for any treatment, but I like Slow Shutter, too. :)

Oh I remember those days. So much fun to go through all those disks! :)

Janet, thanks for the trip down the memory lane! Have used 3.5, 8inch floppy disks and then upgrated to Iomega zip drives....LOL. Hard to believe now we had them. :p

Ok, I’m sure that all of you will have a good laugh with my favorite softwares and old plugins/filters. I started with Photoshop elements 2.0 and still using version 6.0 as it supports many of the old style filters such as Filters unlimited etc. Also tried Photo Impact XL for a while. It was fun to play with.
For Photoshop, now I’m using the version PS CC 19.0 For noise removal, started with Neat Image, now using Topaz DeNoise AI. My favorite old filters/plugins are Draganizer, Nik Collection, Lucis Pro, Kai’s Power Tools, Flaming pear, Redfield Fractalizer, Dream Suite by FX Software and many more that I can’t remember….LOL. Most of these doesn’t work on newer versions of Windows and I use them on a old notebook loaded with Win 7 with compatibility adjustments.

I also use Elements... Like Sherry, I used only PS7 until I couldn't get it to load anymore. I still wish I could have it back. I like some of the things about Elements, mainly the price and some things I don't like so much Sometimes when they "improve" things it doesn't work out so well. I also have a bunch of Topaz filters. They are really the best IMO.

Topaz, Topaz and more Topaz... Any and/or all of them. They all have their own reasons to love them.
Agree, Topaz, Topaz Topaz. . Specifically, I use Topaz B&W Effects for almost all of my B&W Conversion (although I've been using my camera's internal film emulations also). I use Topaz Simplify,on a lot of my color photos. I use it for structure / dynamics functions, detail and such. Especially like the local adjustments module. I even use the Simplify function occasionally. I alsohave Topaz Impressions which gets used less, but I still like.

I hear lots of good things being said about Topaz. I may have to try them out someday.
