I will start it off this month, adapting what Errick has written in the past:

Welcome to the August Countdown Thread.

There are so many fabulous photo posted on BP. So many very inspiring works of time and talent. I like this thread because its purpose is for each of us to show case your individual photo that you believe is your best or that you feel is most representative of your inner self.

So... let's see your personal best!

*If you are a regular here, you know what to do.
**If you are new to this thread, take some time to read our helpful hints below and join in the fun.
*** If you found yourself here because you are lost.... Hmmm... Don't worry, this is not the Hotel California, you can escape!

NEW helpful hints for attaching photos from BP:
  1. Find or create a smallish version of the photo you entered at BetterPhoto, on your local device. Any size is fine, as long as the uploader allows it. 1MB is too big; 500kb seems to work just fine. You might want to reduce the resolution to 72dpi to get to this smaller size.
  2. In this Countdown Contest thread, write to make a comment. Type in whatever you wish; e.g., “Here’s my Fav image for the month.”
  3. Click the image icon above the comment box to upload your photo.
  4. BONUS CREDIT: Open another tab, locate, can copy the Page URL from your photo where it lives at BetterPhoto. Click on your photo (or any words) to select and then click the LINK icon just to the left of the image icon. Copy in your Page URL (ex: https://www.betterphoto.com/gallery/dynoGallDetail.php?photoID=15937075 - this will make it so others can view and comment on the large version of your photo in the contest.

If any photo you view has a link, you can go to the original image in the BP and comment there. If you want to additionally add a comment to any photo here, go right ahead. The more discussion and feedback, the better.
