Whenever I find a photogenic (and static) scene that really motivates me, I work it every which way I can. This means trying different compositions, different focal lengths, or different camera angles. It also might mean varying the f/stop, too, in order to alter the depth of field (the range of front-to-back sharpness in a scene). When you have a great subject in beautiful light, spending extra time ensures you get the best possible photos.
