I've been a photographer since 1970, when I bought my first Yashica 35mm camera from the Army PX store. My interests are diverse, and my subject matter varies. So has my choice of cameras. They have evolved from 35mm SLR's (Nikon & Contax) to Medium Format (Hasselblad & Mamiya) to Large format (Zone VI). While my latest camera is a Fuji S2 Pro Digital camera, I still maintain a grip on film cameras, which include some older 35mm Nikon F2's and a medium format Hasselblad. In my humble opinion, film scanned from these cameras still produce images far superior than what is capable even with a high end digital camera. Don't get me wrong - I embrace the digital era, but thoroughly enjoy the quality I can get from my film cameras. My wet darkroom equipment has been replaced with a new Mac G4 and Epson wide format printer. The only constant in my photographic life has been to always strive for the best quality image I can produce. I hope that never changes. Now, with the advent of Photoshop, I can also be more creative, and do things I could only dream of in a conventional darkroom. For the past 15 years, I have been an 'Arts & Crafts Show' photographer, exhibiting and selling images such as those posted here at juried shows around the Southeast and Midwest areas. As I approach retirement age, I look forward to doing this full time. Hope to see you at a show sometime.
