What I have learned in photography, now that I have a digital camera, is that I am more aware of minute things, details and shades which I never noticed before, when I was shooting less. This is great because I am seeing the world through a different perspective, a wider one!
What I like to shoot? Anything which seems familiar in a different way, as everything is significant and can leave a message for the viewer.

Welcome to my gallery!
My name is Mata. I live in Italy, on the wonderful island of Sicily. I am married with two children. My favourite colour is yellow. I like cooking and experimenting in cuisine.
My interest in photography started when someone gave me a camera for my Holy Communion. A few years ago, I worked in a photo shop where I had the opportunity to learn from the work of the best photographer in my town. Two years ago, my husband gave me a Nikon Coolpix 2200 digital camera, and, as he said, “what a mistake!” You know that famous phrase, “A photo a day keeps the doctor away”. After one year of submitting photos to BetterPhoto, I decided to buy a Sony H1.
The nicest gift of my 30th birthday was a Nikon D40! I was so excited!
Well, this is just a little about me; I hope that my photos will help you to discover some other aspects of my character.
