Bio

I've always liked taking pictures, but really got into it with the purchase of my Minolta about 10 years ago...even tho the "in" thing now is digital...and I've even had a pro-photographer tell me to throw the Minolta away...its still a thrill to open up the package when I develop my film to see what I was able to do. When I take peoples pictures, I tell them we may go through 4 films and get 6 good pics or 20 good ones...but sometimes theres just that "one" that blows you away and you think "thats it!" or "wow..I did that!". My husband has added to my photography addiction by purchasing different lenses, tri-pods, and flashes...I still do not know everything about my camera or some of the buttons...but its with me always. As far as goals with my pictures...I like to see peoples faces when I give them the pictures as gifts...they are moments that they will treasure and nothing can take them away...so my goal is to continue to make memories for a friend, family member, and most of all myself. My specialties...are I try to capture something that will be gone in a moment...where a do over is not possible...if you look at my pictures...there are no "do overs"...there is no way possible that I can recreate anything that I have photographed. I don't like staging or props...when I take pictures, for example my daughters senior portraits...its not a planned thing...we drive...I slam on the brakes when I see that special spot..we unload quickly and take the picture. I like to take pictures of people, but am learning to take pictures of horses...I think my 5 horses have caught on they are to do something cute or pose for me. I haven't caught on to "action" shots...many films used to try...I got some good shots of high school basketball and volley ball players...then gave them the pictures. All I can do is keep trying...and hope I capture something spectacular!!
