And God Said, "Let there be light" And then he allowed a little box to be created that would capture that light and make the creation of his timeless and priceless. If one picture is worth a thousand words then imagine how marvelous it is to express these words through the eye and mind instead of the mouth. Hopefully these expressions will connect me to others and they will view the creation as a priceless treasure as I do.

Bio

Several years ago during High School I took a photo developing class with my brother. I really liked the class and working with the darkroom, but I was using my fathers old camera and couldn't get one picture to be in sharp focus. I was discouraged and put the camera away for a while seeking other artistic expressions of myself. About two years ago, I took a class from a wonderful woman in Florida who taught me so much about composition and technique that my passion took off from there. Who knows if that camera my dad gave me was no good or if as an inexperienced photographer I just couldn't hold my camera steady for any shots. I am doing much better now and loving every minute of it. It is like a treasure hunt. When you find a great shot it becomes priceless to you and you want to share that with others. That is what I hope to do making a little money on the side. I love it. Nature and landscape have been my favorite, but I now enjoy all aspects of photography as long as it expresses something to someone even if it is just a memory. I began with an old Minolta SRT 102 but have since moved on to the Nikon N80 and F100. I do like the older manual cameras but for wedding and convenience the other two are much quicker so I am using them for now.
