My photos can basically be grouped into two categories, nature and architecture. I love the outdoors and love capturing the beauty of nature, whether it is a sweeping vista or a close-up of a fall-colored leaf. I also enjoy photographing both old and new buildings. My favorite subjects are old, ornate churches. They just don't make churches the way they used to.

Enjoy!!

Bio

I have always been interested in art, but was never very good at painting or drawing. My first real exposure to photography was in college. With a background in math and science, the technical side of photography really piqued my interest. I particularly enjoyed the science behind creating works of art in the darkroom.

After graduating from undergrad with a degree in geology, I moved to Utah for graduate work. For the first few years in Utah I took photos with a Minolta 35-mm, but recently have been exploring the benefits of digital. The camera I have been using lately is the Olympus Camedia C-5060 Wide Zoom. It has 5.1 megapixels and excellent image quality. It has a few limitations, but for the most part, it is a fantastic camera that I would recommend to anyone.

I hope you enjoy my photos and if you have any comments, critiques or questions, do not hesitate to contact me.

Enjoy!
