It's fascinating that a place or person, can be frozen in time through combinations of glass.

I enjoy shooting pictures / images of flowers, plants and other natural wonders. I also enjoy the challenge of taking portraits and attempting to capture more than the dimension of a person. The real divident is seeing the expression of people when you've captured that special image!

I have enjoyed sports photography as seen from the sidelines. Weddings and all the frantic nerves before this hallowed event make it ever important to be cool, clear and 'focused' (pardon the pun).

Photography captures the threads of our woven world, discovering the often unnoticed strands of our environment. My goal is to provide images that awaken your vision and refresh your breadth of life. I hope I achieved this in my gallery.

Bio

My first 'real' camera (1976) was an Olympus OM1. I graduated to an OM2n with the pistol bounce grip, power winder and numerous flashes and accessories. My final stop with film was the Olympus IS3.

My hobby lingered for years until I got a digital camera: a Nikon 5700 in January of '04. I was enthused enough to move up to the Nikon D70 (SB800,SB600)Dec '04. It focuses much better than my 5700 and there's NO DIGITAL DELAY! That drove me absolutely nuts. Glad thats behind me and my blood pressure has unexplainably improved too!

Over the years I enjoyed taking pictures at sporting events-mostly high school games; I did many weddings and was very proud of those results.

Photography is such a cool hobby for it adjusts with life. Pictures of my children prove to be priceless. I view them and remember the days before they knew everything. Memories of our trips remain as dividends from those travel expenses and , "Are we there yet" questions.

I'm having alot of fun these days taking pictures and learning the many aspects of Photoshop. Can one ever learn this program?

BetterPhoto is such a wonderful site: its wholesome, a large number of tremendous images are posted daily, great people that offer support and advice unselfishly. I have never had to question the quality or wholesomeness of this site.

I'm working with portraiture and enjoying captured images of people that are seen as special. Such a wonderful dividend for any photographer. This is certainly challenging for I hope to capture more than a dimension.

I hope you enjoy my gallery; its a slice from my life.
