My shots are mostly of nature. Flowers are a favorite subject, but I'm exploring new ones daily. I find the macro world facinating and look deep into things for the Liliputian view. Nature offers so many patterns to choose from. I enjoy creating art from nature.

I'm baaaack!!! After thinking I had lost my site in 2005 while living in Houston, Texas... after a computer crash… I walked away from BetterPhoto.com… :(
I now live in the small town of Waxhaw, North Carolina, just south of Charlotte on the NC/SC border. My photography has taken on a life of its own since leaving Texas... Primarily having a new environment to shoot and second the interest in art here is astounding compared to Houston. Go figure...living in the 4th largest city for almost thirty two years I had thought that Houston was somewhat cultural and art friendly, only to find that moving to a small town would open doors for creativity and acceptance that would shatter cultural expectations! The craft scene here is amazing! People don’t ask stupid questions about the price of a piece of hand crafted art… “$700 for a teapot! Why does it cost so much??” (as we heard in the Bayou City Arts Festival in Houston.) People here understand quality and what hard work it is to make things by hand. Photography here is considered an art form. I have experienced an amazing generosity of support from neighbors, co-workers, and new friends. I hope you enjoy the work I present here. I have enjoyed the transformation from city to country photographer and I hope it shows!
