Most of my photos are of my Family and pets. I do spend a large amount of time at the Omaha's Henry Doorly Zoo and a local lake here in Iowa. Always trying to get that perfect shot for our wall. The last 2 years I have also found several families that could not afford to get their child's senior pictures done, and have done my best for them. I live to see happy faces on and off the camera.
My goal is to learn more about my camera functions, lighting in and outdoors. I would love to turn my hobby into something more!

Bio

I grew up here in Iowa on a 32 ach. farm. We raised every animal from A to Z. Few for profit all of mine (horses, dogs & cats) for play. We also had most of the farm in beans/corn during crop season. I loved thoes days!
I have always loved taking pictures! Started out with a little Star 110 Kodak Camera. And yes I still have it! It was my mother's camera. She pasted away when I was 16 from Breast cancer, so I have keep it all these yrs. My little sister Debbie was my first model 27 yrs. ago when she was about 3yrs. old. Now her daughter Kylee has taken over!
I have no one interest, although I do love to be outdoors best. I think my best pictures are of children, maybe that is because I still have not grown up myself. My mother always said "You are only the age you think you are!" I got started with digital a year ago with the Canon EOS 10D and am currently waiting for my Canon EOS 20D. Now that I have my digital I find it hard to use film, in fact have not touched that camera since the day my 10D came in the mail. I like to see how they turn out as soon as I can. It has spoiled me.
Update: 2006 I am in Love ... with my Canon 20D. My husband may have to come second! Now the goal is to learn how to use it like I should! My dream is to maybe make a little extra money to help pay for my hobby someday.
My husband and I are currently waiting for the referral of our first daughter from China. Yes I am hoping for two! UPDATE: January 5, 2009 we became a "Forever Family" with a daughter! She turned one on February 11 th. She has us wrapped around her little finger, and is the joy of our life! I have one Quarter Horse that lives at a barn full of friends, four dogs, 5 cats.
I have worked with children in my home for the last 7 yrs. Before that in a Preschool / Child Care for 9 1/2 years. My husband is currently starting a Vineyard/ Winery. In the last three years we have planted around 3000 vines and intending on moving a few this year.
Hmm .... I think that about covers it.
