My work tends to be a mix of traditional photography and just plain fun messing-with-Photoshop. If anyone is interested in how a certain picture was made I will do my best to explain, I don't mind. At times I ask others how they did such and so and they have always been very positive with sharing their knowledge...so I hope I can too!

Hello there! Thanks for stopping by... I've been taking photographs forever, it seems. I'm not a real big people pic taker, except when my son was a baby...way too many of those! I mostly enjoy different forms of architecture, nature's colors and patterns, sailing, travel and water shots, our goofy dogs, normal stuff like that...My husband pried me away from film to digital a couple years ago, kicking and screaming...I'd have to learn computer stuff, ick, take classes, oh no! But that's when it happened... I found out about Photoshop! Watch out!... So that's how they do all that great stuff in magazines ads and on weird, interesting bookcovers.
Now, my photography has an additional, seemingly endless new dimension to it...fodder for the PS machine in my imagination. So many of the images I take now can be used in other ways, color changed, cut up, manipulated, overlayed, layers upon layers. It's wonderful and interesting and if I practice hard enough maybe I'll even do something good enough to sell someday. That's my dream...
I have a friend, Harry O. Morris, back in Albuquerque, New Mexico who does bookcover and book illustration work professionally. He is my mentor whether he knows it or not... I love his work, I study his work, I've bought it, framed it and hung it in my home. I've bought the books with his cover art on them...all the time thinking "That's what I want to do if I ever get good enough!" So thanks Harry for giving me a peek at how good digital artwork can be! I strive to be as good as you someday!
I'm using a Sony Mavica CD 400 now because I like the tiny CDs as backup just in case something goes wrong with the ol' computer...I use the heck out of it!
Our little family has recently moved here from Albuquerque to Washington, DC and I love it! There is so much to see and photograph here...public art, historic architecture, statues, Rock Creek park, rivers and the sights on Chesapeake Bay. There are so many historically oriented little towns all along the East coast and I want to see them all!
