Bio

My interest in photography started while in the Navy but died down when attending college, and then of course life happened and I just didn’t have the time. Nine years ago my wife (a great gal) suggested that I take photography back up. Something I am sure she now regrets. So armed with a discover card and no reasonable sense restraint I visited the local Nikon dealer and purchased a N90S. I later upgraded to a F100 and then switched to a D70. Although I miss film, digital does have its advantages. In September of 2007 I took my dream photo trip to Yellowstone. I have been to 28 States,Hong Gong, Guam, the Philippines, Japan, Australia, Ontario, British Columbia, and a few places I would like to forget, but nothing even comes close to Yellowstone. I will return every year except for 2008 due to other vacation plans. 2008 will be for photo trips to Florida, Maine (Moosehead Lake), and the Southwest. I currently use the Nikon 80-200 2.8, Nikon 60MM 2.8, Nikon 18-70, Nikon 28-105 (left over from film days) and the Sigma 50-500. My next lens will be the Nikon 18-200 VR. I use Corel Paint Shop Pro 2X for photo editing and corrections. While traveling I use a Toshiba Satellite 205 with a 17 inch screen.
