Bio

With the many life challenges, I took a sabbatical leave and recently reinstated my membership with Betterphoto.com, late 2017, where now I can rekindle my passion, focusing (Life through the lens) on taking photographs.

My entry into the world of photography began in May 2005 when my son bought me a point-and-shoot "Kodak Easy Share" camera for Mother's Day. He simply thought I would enjoy taking pictures. Little did he know that he had started me on a journey of self-expression and communication.

It was a beginning of many weekend outings, venturing to botanical gardens, historical landmarks, tourist attractions, enjoying the sights and capturing them. My passion is not limited to one area; I enjoy photographing people, flowers, landscapes, wildlife, architecture, everything! I also have a creative side that desires taking ‘some’ of my photos to another stage of artistic expression.

My aspiration is to embrace learning from the courses offered on the technical aspects of the camera and creative process with software to hone in on bringing out the best in my photographs. As well as enjoying and engaging with like-minded photographer enthusiasts.

“To create one's own world in any of the arts takes courage" (Georgia O'Keeffe)

"Photography, as a powerful medium of expression and communications, offers an infinite variety of perception, interpretation, and execution" (Ansel Adams)
