Bio

Born and raised in San Diego, California I now call Charleston, West Virginia my home. My passion lies in architectural landscapes and night and low light photography. Foul weather an appreciated bonus on many of my shoots.

Photography is a craft that requires the mastery of one’s equipment, the ability to compose and to have the skills to faithfully reproduce your subject giving it life beyond your vision.

My goal is to be able to capture the moment as I see it with my camera and to bring these places to life for those who view my images...to experiance it as I did..the best compliment I can recieve is that one of my photos moved you in some way...whether it brought to mind the smell of autumn leaves, the cold feel of a winter's night, the soft breeze of the ocean or the force of an impending storm.

Equipment: 2 Canon 5Ds, a Canon 50D, and an infrared converted Canon 20D. Lenses: 17-40L, 24-105L, 100-400L, 100mm macro, and 128-135mm IS on my 20D. Filters: A Moose Circular Polarizer, 0.3, 0.6.,0.9 Galen Rowell graduated neutral density filters, 0.6, 0.9 solid neutral density filters, and an enhancing filter for fall colors.

I limit my post-processing to cropping, straightening the line of my horizons, levels, sharpening when needed and noise removal from high ISO images most of which is done with Microsoft Digital Imaging Pro, DXO Optics Pro to correct architectural distortion if present and Neat Image for noise removal. It want you to be able to come away with the same photos of a place that I do.

I hope you enjoy the world as I see it through my lens...
