The majority of my work as a commercial photographer is in the area of my first love, portraiture. Though I use a lot of 35mm and medium format equipment, working with larger acquisition formats such as 4X5, 5X7, and 8X10 inch film, to me, is the most rewarding photographic experience.

Bio

I'm Bob Fowler and I live in Middletown, New Jersey. As an independent commercial photographer, my work consists primarily of portraiture, publicity, and tabletop. I've been a working photographer for over 25 years and can't imagine doing anything else for a living.

The vast majority of my commercial work is done with large format equipment, 4X5, 5X7, and 8X10 inch formats. My current 4X5 camera system is Toyo, with Eastman and Calumet cameras for larger formats. My large format lens arsenal is all over the map, to include Schneider, Rodenstock, Nikon, Ross, Ilex, C.P. Goerz, Calumet, and Wollensak. I use Bronica SQ-A and SQ-Ai cameras and Zenzanon PS lenses for medium format, and Nikon is my 35mm and digital SLR system of choice.

I am a member of the Professional Photographers of America and the Analog Photography Users Group.

Bob has been a BetterPhoto member since 4/24/2003 4:23:57 PM.
