How I used to look forward to completing a roll of b&w film, and dropping it into the Chemist to have it processed. It always seemed to take an age before those less-than-perfect prints arrived back for collection. This no doubt whet my appetite for capturing that moment in time, to be kept aside for posterity.Having progressed through a variety of SLR cameras and being a staunch advocate of film, I finally relented and purchased the first digital 'box of tricks' in 2002, for my wife Carolyn. It seemed to be a prudent method of reducing the processing cost of her insatiable appetite for photography!Carolyn took to the new technology like a duck to water and slowly I began to warm to it also. It wasn't long before it became evident that I should move this way myself, and our old film SLR's rarely whir to life these days!I enjoy landscapes, nature, macro and most things that move. Over the many years I have been releasing the shutter the camera has played an important part in my everyday life, and things probably won't change in the future...Phil Contact Phillip R.
