Bio

Based in Farmington Hills, MI, just north of Detroit. Originally from England. Moved here to the US in 1995 for one year!!! One year turned to two, we bought a house,... still here:). I work for a engineering software company and love computers and software. Always enjoyed photography as a kid and four years ago bought my first dSLR with a view to really learning the craft. Feel I'm doing OK, but know there's so much I can learn, especially about lighting and composition.

Still using my Canon SXi/450D but recently upgraded to a 5D Mkii which is absolutely amazing, especially the high ISO noise control. I do quite a bit of interior photography of before/after work for interior designers and remodellers. Use my Canon 10-24mm lens for this and bracket the exposures and then blend together in PS CS4.

I enjoy doing family portraits, especially involving young kids. Not always easy to get that "perfect" smile on everyone. Usually take several pics in the same position and cut and paste heads and eyes etc. I love the reaction from mums and dads when they see little Johnny looking right at the camera bright-eyed and bushy-tailed when they remember the session as a bit of a struggle because they couln't get Johnny to smile:).

Married to a beautiful wife for 24 years and have three great kids: Twins at 20 and an 18 year old. One cat - pain in the backside!

Just started to focus on nature photography and love to capture God's wonderful creation.
