Greetings from beautiful southwest Michigan, commonly referred to as the nation's "third coast." My husband and I live about a mile from the eastern shores of Lake Michigan in a small town about an hour and a half from downtown Chicago. Known as "Michigan's Sunset Coast" the area has lots to offer photographically - lighthouses and beaches, vineyards and orchards, and plenty of wildflowers. Our beautiful surroundings, frequent travel, and desire to capture candid moments with loved ones led me to BetterPhoto courses. I am in transition as a photographer. The auto modes on my Rebel XT had been my go to support system for years. With the help of BetterPhoto instructors, I am using the creative modes on my new Canon 50D almost exclusively now. What a difference being able to control exposure makes!
