Nature is painting for us, day after day, pictures of infinite beauty". - John Ruskin. As my love of nature inspires me, I hope that I am able to capture a bit of that beauty in my images. Thank you for taking time to visit my gallery.

I am a native of Finland, but now residing in Texas, in a small town near Dallas. Living in Texas has provided me wonderful opportunities for photographing wildflowers, landscapes, animals, and insects with the macro lens. I particularly love getting close and personal with nature and wildlife subjects no matter how big or small that they may be. I have always enjoyed viewing beautiful photographs of nature and travel. It wasn't until 2002 that I discovered photography as a personal hobby when I bought my first digital camera. Since then I have graduated from New York Institute of Photography. Also, I have attended numerous seminars and workshops, led by well-known instructors in the field, including Monte Zucker, Clay Blackmore, Sandy Puc, Rick Sammon, George Lepp, Eddie Tapp, Katrin Eismann, John Shaw, David Ziser.
I am fortunate to share the passion of photography with my husband, Jeff. He has inspired me immensely, and with his knowledge of photography and our shared love for the outdoors and nature, I have become the photographer that I am today. We are members and photography volunteers at the local zoo and we also volunteer providing pictures for our hometown website and publications.
My favorite equipment includes Nikon DSLR D7000 and D70 (IR conversion) and my favorite lenses the Tamron SP AF180mm F/3.5 Di Macro, AF200-500mm Di, AF70-200mm F2.8 Di, and the Tamron AF18-270mm VC. I use Photoshop CS5 as my primarily editing software.
Thank you very much for visiting my gallery! I hope that you enjoyed seeing the things that are important and interesting to me. If you have any questions or comments I would love to hear from you.
