My first job after college was working at Scholastic Magazines as a writer and photographer-The art editor took me under her wing and I spent hours in a black and white dark room. Time passed and I became a neuropsychologist, but got back into photography when it became clear I could do my own printing without retreating to a small dark room. Currently, I have been fortunate to have had some photos published, most recently on the cover of an academic book I co-edited. My current project is preparing for show in the Berkshires next summer which is celebrating the 250 anniversary of a town in the Berkshires called New Marlborough. I am working on a series of photos of a waterfall I have spent time at since I was a child and would like help thinking out of the box and exploring the possibilities as I do so.
I work with a NIkon D300 and a variety of lenses. In addition to western Massachusetts I have been photographing Costa Rica over the past couple of years-this place elicits a sense of wonder in all who see her.
I look forward to the workshop.
