The scenery and wildlife in our state of Colorado are fantastic, so I naturally gravitate towards those types of shots, especially without "the hand of man" visible. I also travel often to other states and countries, always with the aim of photographically exploring them. You can visit my website to see more of my photos at:

On a personal note, I have noticed that I am becoming more and more visual. Sometimes this is even problematic, because I see photos everywhere! I have learned to calm myself down and take a more critical, planned approach to my photography. A tripod helps with this a lot. If a photo isn't worth lugging the tripod, setting it up, leveling it, attaching the camera, getting just the right angle, and then carefully framing the scene, then usually it will not be a "keeper" of a photo for me. Of course, there are exceptions to this, especially in fleeting experiences with wildlife!
I am an environmentalist, and want to do all I can to preserve open space, vistas, and wildlife habitat. If my photos can help in this goal, I will be most pleased.
Equipment used: Canon EOS 20D and 10D, various Canon lenses, Bogen 3021 Pro tripod with 3437 head, and a Bogen 3218 monopod with a 488RC2 ballhead.
