My photographs will all be in the realm of nature; be it animals, flowers or landscapes. My preference is of the National Parks of the US., but my gallery will also contain photos of other areas of interest. My photo gear consists of two NIkon DSLR bodies; which are Nikon D7100 and Nikon D7000. My lenses are a Tamron 10-24mm; a Nikkor 18-300mm VR; and a Nikkor 80-400mm VR.. I enjoy photographing the natural world because, "Nature has a very inviting Nature".
Sun on the Mounta...
I grew up and went to school in Boston, Mass. Upon graduating from high school, I took up the martial art, Okinawan Goju-ryu karate which I trained in until I was drafted into the US army in 1965. After a tour of combat in Vietnam in 1967, I returned to my interest in karate and picked up my first camera a few years later, which was a Nikon EM film camera. As my interest in photography grew, I later got a Pentax K1000; then a Nikon N6006; then a Nikon N80. My first DSLR was a Nikon D100. I now shoot with a Nikon D7100 and a Nikon D90; and my photographic interests are nature and landscapes. I do a lot of my shooting in the southwest area of the US, because that open un-spoiled and majestic landscape offers a lifetime of spectacular photography. I hope to get to as many National Parks of the US as is humanly possible. Photographing the natural world, is to me "Like being born again or renewed each time I enter these magnificent parks". Now retired from the US postal service... I now start my quest!!
