“Photography is a way of feeling, of touching, of loving. What you have caught on film is captured forever... it remembers little things, long after you have forgotten everything.” --Aaron Siskind
“We look at the world and see what we have learned to believe is there. We have been conditioned to expect... but, as photographers, we must learn to relax our beliefs.” --Aaron Siskind

I have been taking photos since childhood - my first camera was the Kodak Disc! I've graduated from that to point and shoot film cameras, several different film 35mm slr's, and now my newest camera, a Pentax K100D digital slr.
This fall I did some theatrical head shots for friends and wish to expand into family portraits as well.
Despite my interest in portraits, I enjoy taking photos of just about anything - as you can see from my gallery.
Updated 2/11/08 - The portraits have taken a backseat for the winter - so I've been keeping busy scanning old photos, and creating new ones inside using natural light from windows around our house :) I'm finding all sorts of items worthy of an image...or two!
I continue to read books, online articles, blogs and anything else I can get my hands on to learn more and more about being a better photographer!
This website, bp instructors and fellow participants have proven invaluable to me - great inspiration, great insight, great comments, great encouragement! Thanks to you all! Keep the comments coming!
