I have always wanted to be a serious part of photgraphy so on July 31, 2007 I began my quest which started with one of Jim Miotke's videos. I have since learned a great deal.
I love to take pictures of anything with bright colors, kids, and still life. If it is fun, full of emotion or makes me think, I will be there with a busy camera. Of all the art forms I have been involved in, this has been the most enjoyable and fulfilling.

Having Grown up on the west coast, I always saw so much beauty around me. Both the landscape and the culture were art to me. This has been an inspiration and has sparked the artist in me. I have always taken pictures with my eyes. Now I keep that beauty forever with a camera.
I taught elementary school for 13 years in the midwest, but realized the artist in me had become stifled. So I have come back to my first loves. The west coast and art! I live in Oregon with my two boys who are very willing models and excellent artists themselves. I look forward to where photography will take me and the fun I will have.
My philosophy is: If it isn't meaningful to you, it isn't art. So if you're not having fun, forget it!
And, I thank God for this ability to capture the beauty of His creation every day and share it with others.
