Bio

I started doing photography in 1996 with a 1964 Honeywell Pentax Spotmatic. My grandfather bought me the camera for college... at first, I was a little jealous of all the kids who had their brand new SLR's in class. There they were, all black and shiny... and I had a 32 year old second-hand camera. Then once I learned how to use it properly, I was in love with it. My grandfather hoped I would use that camera to forge a career and live happily ever after.
My Grandfather slowly wilted away, the Pentax broke and with it went my enthusiasm for photography.
I got married in 2005 and bought a Kodak Easyshare 4mp camera to take on my honeymoon to Jamaica. While I was there, I ended up slowly regaining the urge to do photography again.
The birth of my daughter in May brought many joys... and made me go out and buy a Nikon D40. Then, it happened. I started taking photography seriously again. I embraced it and all it could be.
I had my first gallery show in September and now I'm working on my art harder than ever.
My Grandfather would be proud.

I have recently sold my beloved D40 and bought an amazing D200! I'm still learning to use it (there's a lot of settings) but I love it so much! I also got a chance to use a D3 recently and I'm blown away by that camera's capabilities.
