As you'll see in my gallery, my photographic interests are greatly varied. I love to shoot landscapes, but living in SE Michigan does not offer majestic mountains, ocean cliffs and shores, or grandiose painted deserts. But we do have lots of green, many beautiful lakes, and running rivers. We also have cars of every sort from any era that tickles your fancy! Living near the Motor City has piqued my interest in classic cars, so I make the most of the many car shows during the summer, and the various museums all around me.

After giving in to a longstanding interest (from afar) in photography, I found BP and took my first class here in July of 2007. Before that class was over I decided that, for me, p&s is not where it's at, and purchased my first SLR -- a Canon 30D. From then until now, photography has grown from an interest to a passion to an obsession. My greatest interests are landscapes and classic cars, but I find inspiration just about anywhere. I live in SE Michigan with my husband, who is my greatest support. I have one grown daughter, who is an equine vet living in Colorado. I've met some great people here on BP, and I'm learning so much from the many outstanding photographers who generously share their art and their knowledge.
