I am primarily a nature photographer. I love to shoot flowers, butterflies, hummingbirds and wading birds. While serving in the Air Force and working the flight line, I developed a love for airplanes. It matters not if they are slow moving or blinding fast; it's their lines that take my breath away. Capturing a "bird"(*) in flight is exciting. Living by the sea offers me the added luxury of photographing surfers in a pounding surf and graceful wading birds while nesting and mating, an absolutely beautiful ritual. A good photograph can definitely stir my emotions and has since my childhood.
(*) those with beaks as well as the military reference to aircraft as "birds".
