Although you can't tell by looking at my current photos, I actually love photographing infants and children. Without an appointment necessary and no preparation needed, though, visiting the Lake Michigan shoreline is the surest way to get some practice on my new camera! I'm looking forward to some natural sunlight and laughing children playing outside! (April 2007)

Bio

Welcome to my gallery and thanks for taking the time to browse! I am a self-taught amateur who simply loves capturing life on film. I got my first camera when I was about seven years old and have since been known as the family shutter bug. For a long time, I refused to give up my 35mm but have recently discovered the joys and conveniences of going digital. I just bought a Cannon Rebel and am enjoying the freedom to shoot away. Without the cost of film and the immediate ability to view and/or delete photos, I'm finding myself experimenting with more creative shots. My first love is photographing infants and children and I really enjoy the timeless look of black and white, however, practicing with my new camera has taken me out into nature where I love the opportunity to capture God's wonder! I live in beautiful West Michigan, just a short walk from the Lake Michigan shoreline and can't wait to see what opportunities arise this spring and summer!
