Photographing a special moment and being able to relive it through the eye of the camera is absolutely wonderful. There is so much beauty out there to see. I love taking pictures of flowers, any species, any color. In the past I have taken thousands of them. Macro is my favorite way to take a picture. When I use my camera, I have the ability to capture the inner beauty of every flower that most people fail to see. I started taking other types of photos when I joined BP. My scope of vision widened as I reviewed other photographer's works. It has been quite an education for me. I now try to be creative with the use of software, tools, brushes and filters. Eleanor Perrotta (Elly) is a 80 year old female artist. She is the mother of two daughters and four grandchildren. Elly knew at an early age that she was artistic and creative. She is self-taught but was influenced and encouraged by family members who also enjoyed drawing. Elly and her husband Danny were married for 48 years until his passing in 2001. Over the years, Elly has entered many art exhibits and was awarded numerous trophies for her paintings. In 2005, Elly bought her first Canon PowerShot A95 digital camera. To date, she has over 10,000 photos that are stored on her iMac. Many have already enjoyed her award-winning shots that have been printed, framed and sold.
