Hello My nickname is Crittershooter and as you can guess from my name I love to photograph critters of all sorts. I live in South Texas so my main Critters are coastal birds with the occasional Raptor. I live in a heavily traveled migratory trail for many birds so I just never know what I am going to get a picture of on my daily hunts. I also love to take landscape pictures with reflections in the water. I also like sunsets and sunrises along with long shutter exposures to create fun stuff.

My dad started photography when I was about 10 years old, he was doing black & white.He had all equipment for a darkroom and I would say that is what inspired me. I started photography in high school using the Rolleiflex camera then having develop it myself in our darkroom at school.
I now have a Canon 30d with a few lens and dream of more. I enjoy photography wildlife including birds and landscape's. My favorite shot is birds in flight especially the rapor family. Eagle are my favorite by far but red tail hawks is my next favorite.
I live in South Texas so most of my birds are coastal birds with the occasional Raptor. We get lots of Migratory birds so I never know what I will find on my daily hunts. The other day I saw four Whopping Cranes but was not close enough to get a good picture.
My Long range Goals in photography is to sell my picture as stock photography online and to get into some local galleries. my mid range goal is to become a master photographer through Betterphoto this will help me in my long range goal. Short term goal is just to get out there and shoot every day for at least an hour a day in creative mode on my camera and get out of auto mode forever and never look back. I would also like to get a lot of editor picks on my photos along with photo contest winner. That would show that my shots are improving.
Once my goals have been met I plan on moving to Jackson Hole WY to open some type of photography tourist attraction not sure what but I will come up with something.
