Most of the pictures are taken in Kansas, Missouri, Arkansas and Oklahoma. State Parks, backyards, country sides, and anything that I find interesting are found in my photos. I go out in all kinds of weather, ice, snow, rain hoping to capture the colors and contrasting light of shadows. Old country towns and barns are extremely picturesque. People will pop up in some of my pictures as well as birds, horses, wildanimals, and pets which are fun to capture since they are always on the move. Also photos of other states in America are included. I hope I have inspired you to go out and look at nature and enjoy this wonderful land of America.

Bio

Taking pictures has always been high on my list of things to accomplish. After many years I purchased a Canon EOS Rebel XT, two lens, Canon 18-55mm, and a Sigma 70-200mm. So far taking pictures around my area in Oklahoma and on road trips have been my extent of capturing a moment in time. I have a college degree in art and have sold paintings for 30 years and hope in some way I can use my artistic ability to carry over into my photography.
I was born in Africa and as a child my parents traveled to many exciting places. Being missionaries my father had to take pictures and send them back to the U.S.A. to show what he and my mother were accomplishing. That was in the 1950's. Things have changed so much he would really enjoy taking pictures now. After moving to the U.S.A. I had to learn how to be an American Citizen and the freedom to be able to do anything with out ' looking over my shoulder' has been a life time in learning. To be able to take pictures of anything and everything and capture a moment that well never be lost, is a great privilege, something to be cherished forever.
My husband has been taking pictures for years and my son and daughter also love to take their cameras with them whereever they go. So who knows what my grandchild will do in their future. My dogs, a sheltie and german shepherd, let me in the house on occasion and even allow me to take their pictures when they feel like it. Working in the dirt is not only their past time . I also love to work at growing a garden. So my flowers become my models as well as the wildlife that wonders into my little space of a half acre. Isn't being alive wonderful, we are blessed with so much beauty around us.
