Photography is an act of self exploration that stimulates the depths of my senses. Like great Jazz, the act of approaching any subject is always a unique experience with the hope of evoking strong emotions. Enjoy the journey and discover the joy of photography.

Bio

My passion for photography began more than 30 years ago when I built my own B&W darkroom at the age of 16. My first 35mm camera in 1973 was a Minolta SRT 101 with a 50mm and 135 mm lenses. I really enjoyed natural portrait photography with the 135mm. I went off to college and unfortunately I left my darkroom and Minolta behind. I recently rediscovered my passion for photography with the purchase of a Canon 20D, a Tamron 28-75, and PhotoshopCS – WOW what a THRILL!!

I was delighted to find BetterPhoto and the great people associated with this wonderful organization. I have taken a number of BetterPhoto courses and look forward to taking many more. I find it inspirational viewing the many photo contributions by the BetterPhoto community.

Photography is an act of self exploration that stimulates the depths of my senses. Like great Jazz, the act of approaching any subject is always a unique experience with the hope of evoking strong emotions. My goal is to delight in my journey to develop a distinct visual style. Discover the joy of photography.
